PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A 370-metre-long architectural ribbon clad in wood and glass, with angular and dynamic lines: this is the Skypark Business Centre designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group, the new icon of Luxembourg Airport. Rising to a height of 30 metres, this elongated building marks the arrival of Airport City, an airport district designed for the future. Already partially operational, it houses offices, shops, restaurants, a crèche and a boutique hotel with views of the tarmac. Constructed from glulam and topped with green terraces, the complex embodies a sustainable vision of urban planning. Directly linked to the terminal via a covered walkway, it is now served by the tram, which connects the site to Luxembourg city centre. The construction work is nearing completion, giving way to a vibrant new hub combining sustainable transport, architectural innovation and service sector activities.

MISSION

At the Skypark Business Centre construction site at Luxembourg Airport, our surveying firm provided precise support for the installation of the façades.
We carried out the setting-out of the frame supports, established reliable elevation benchmarks, and marked out various types of cladding and finishes. As-built surveys enabled us to adapt the work to the actual site conditions, ensuring the most accurate installation possible.
Our teams also worked in difficult-to-access areas, notably using cherry pickers beneath the slabs, whilst maintaining a high level of precision.
A technically demanding project, where our expertise helped bridge the gap between design and execution within an ambitious architectural framework.
