DETAILED EXPLANATIONS

As part of a court-appointed expert assessment, the chartered surveyor is appointed by a district court or a court of appeal to:

  • Analysing property boundaries, easements or encroachments,
  • Verifying that site layouts and buildings comply with title deeds and cadastral documents,
  • Assessing land-related issues (right of way, party walls, landlocked properties, area, value),
  • Draw up precise, georeferenced and dated plans, surveys and reports,
  • Assist the judge with a clear, well-reasoned and technically flawless report,
  • Facilitate conciliation between the parties through a factual and impartial analysis.
